Indian Television channel offered by Sun Network. The channel's programming
includes serials, films,interactive film-based programs, game shows and News.

It is available internationally.It is available through Dish Network in the
United States.

Gemini TV was launched in 9 February 1995. It retains the position of the Number
one among the Telugu channels recently. It used to attract viewers by
telecasting daily serials and Popular movies. It has big movie library among
other channels.

When there are many players in the media market, it is but natural that there is
bound to be competition and only the best will stand at the top. A similar
situation is currently happening in our Andhra Pradesh and that too in the small
screen circuit.

Top in the list is the Gemini TV which has been going strong since quite a while

TEN SPORTS Live is a sports
channel, widely broadcast in Asia. Its key programming includes Cricket,
Football and sports-entertainment shows viz. WWE. Ten Sports was launched on
April 1, 2002, and became the world's premier sports channel for South Asians,
reaching over 55 million homes across the Sub-continent, Middle East, Europe and
Asia. Ten Sports was previously owned by the UAE based Abdul Rahman Bukhatir.He
sold the company for 114 million USD to Zee Telefilms in 2010. TEN's senior
management left the company after the sale.

TAJ Entertainment Network's second channel,
TEN Cricket World cup 2011 Live started its transmission from August 10,
2010. The network's third channel, TEN Action+ was launched on September 23,
2010, replacing Zee Sports.

The network is currently in the process of applying for permission to downlink
their next channel, TEN Golf to India.

Living Cost for International Students in Japan

Living Cost in Japan varies with the individual, but we recommend you to prepare at least 1,000,000 JPY for one year of academic study and for living costs in Japan.

You will need to manage facilities like: public utilities, telephone services, Bedding, kitchen supplies, tableware, Washing machine, Dryer by yourself. So on your stay in Japan you must be able to pay for the charges of facilities.

Japanese accommodations (dormitories and apartments) are generally not furnished. Although some dormitories may supply beds, you will usually have to buy such items as a bed and/or bedding, refrigerator, microwave, television, etc. Prices for such items have become quite inexpensive as compared to the past atdiscount shops, etc. You can also check the bulletin boards at your university or school for notices regarding sale of inexpensive items.

Public utility fees for water, gas and electricity are not included in your rent. Therefore, you will need to subscribe to and pay for the services yourself. If you will be livingin an apartment, you can check with your landlord, etc. for contact information.

Unlike Europe and the United States, apartments in Japan do not have a laundry room equipped with washing machines and dryers. Therefore you will have to either buy your own washing machine or go to a neighborhood coin-operated laundry.

Process to obtain Japanese Student Visa for international students

The procedures that need to be taken to obtain visa for Japan as a foreign student are as follows:

Application for Certificate of Eligibility

Please inquire at an overseas Japanese embassy or consular offices(http://www.mofa.go.jp/about/emb_cons/mofaserv.html) for details regarding visas. Please note that a "temporary visitor" visa is normally needed to enter Japan in order to take an entrance examination.

1) Be sure to note your term of residenceStudents who hold the College Student residency status are permitted to reside in Japan for either 2 years or 1 year. Those holding the Pre-college Student status of residence are allowed to stay in Japan for either 1 year or 6 months. If you wish to extend your stay or change your status of residence, you will need to make an application to do so.

2) Be sure to make the application as soon as possibleIf you should happen to reside in Japan without extending the term of your stay or changing your status of residence, you will become an illegal alien even if you do not mean to do so. You can make applications to extend your stay 2 months before the end of the term, so it is recommended that you make your applicationas soon as possible.

In recent years, a growing number of schools have begun making the application for extension of stay on behalf of foreignstudents. Therefore, there are an increasing number of foreignstudents, such as those attending Japanese-language institutes, who do not know about the immigration bureaus. Because procedures related to staying in Japan need to be taken by the individual in essence, it is important that you clearly understand your status of residence, term of residency as well as the necessary procedures.

3) If you are unsure of anything, be sure to check with a counseling center before you make your applicationIf your class attendance is low without a reason such as illness, you will be judged as not concentrating on your studies. In such cases, you will not receive permission to extend your stay or change your status of residence. Even if there is a valid reason, your extension or change of status of residence may not be approved without documentary proof. Once your application for an extension of stay or change of status of residence is turned down, it is extremely difficult to reverse the decision. Therefore, if you should have any questions or doubts about your application, be sure to consult with the Immigration Information Center or a counseling center for foreign students before making your application.

Instructions about the method to get admission in Japanese Universities

Foreign students can enroll institutions of higher learning: universities (undergraduate courses), graduate schools, junior colleges, special trainingcolleges (post-secondary courses) and colleges of technology. Because eachstudent may have a different reason for choosing to study in Japan, you should clarify your objective before selecting a school.

Do you want to earn a degree or conduct long-term research?
Do you want to acquire proficiency in the Japanese language through study at a Japanese-language institute or preparatory Japanese language courses established by private universities?
Do you want to acquire a certain specialized skill?

Once you have clarified your objective, you can then find the educational institute that is most suitable for attaining your goal.

There are about 700 universities in Japan, including national, public and private ones. The length of study in an undergraduate university is four years with the exception of medicine, dentistry and veterinary science department, which require six years of study.

The length of study in a graduate school depends on whether you are matriculated in a master's program or doctor's program.
Master's program: lasts for two years.
Doctor's program: lasts for five years. Generally, the doctor's program is divided into the first period (two years; applicable to the above-mentioned master's program) and the latter period (three years). However, the length of study for the doctor's program in medicine, dentistry and veterinary science (entered upon after completion of the six-year undergraduate courses in medicine, dentistry or veterinary science) is four years. Some universities offer doctor's programs covering the full five years while others offer only the final three years.
